Being one of Norway's most prominent and acknowledged violinmakers, Jacob von der Lippe has been building instruments for musicians at home and abroad since 1998. Jacob's instruments are coming out of the tradition of the Italian masters. He trained at the "Istituto Professionale Internazionale per l'Artigianato Liutario e del Legno 'A. Stradivari' " in Cremona, Italy.

Jacob von der Lippe's instruments have a sound focusing upon warmth, projection and richness in overtones. With a new instrument, the musician can actually shape the sound in the first years, making it an integral part in their way of communicating music.
